She and her husband met in 2016 and married after they bonded over faith and music.

Journaling is a way to record written moments in our lives; moments that when put together will tell a story about us. Capturing different moods, silly happenings, routine events, or special times can help create memories that we can look back on. Family members or friends may also find enjoyment in looking back into our personal “time capsule.” There are pros and cons to journaling and many people use it as a tool to promote growth. There are some that try and use it as a means of entertainment, but they quickly find that it becomes a chore, and a very boring chore at that.

Jess Conte in her new, “Day By Day Guided Journal,” uses a very creative approach whereby the journaler is able to, “Choose A Theme That Fits Your Mood at The Moment.” Understanding that our needs for a creative outlet differ each day, she gives us four different types of activities to choose from. No two days are the same, so why should our options be limited? Color coded prompts make it easy to thumb through the journal and select the type of activity that feels right at any particular moment in time. Do I want to Check In, or do I want to Capture, maybe I'm in the mood to Create, or do I want to partake in an adventure of self discovery and Reflect + Grow. Jess knows that it is your personal time and she wants you to make the most of it!

I have never journaled in my life, but I have to say this guided journal has piqued my interest. The way I plan to use it is one that often times is ignored, or not even considered. Goal setting is very important and each of us should take it seriously. Using a planner is an important part of setting, working, and tracking goals. My use of this journal in conjunction with a planner will be a very effective means of keeping track of my progress towards goal achievement.

If you are an active journaler or someone like me who has never journaled before, I would encourage you to take a look at Jess Conte's, “Day By Day Guided Journal.”
