Have current events prompted you to question whether we are indeed living in “the last days” as referenced in the Bible? Do you believe that we have a biblical mandate to stand with Israel and it's people? Is your knowledge and understanding of Israel's history very sketchy, or at their best limited. Do you want to learn more about Biblical prophecy, Israel, and how what has been going on in our country and in the world are all related? Let me introduce you to the author of, “Earth's Last Empire: The Final Game Of Thrones."
John Hagee is founder and senior pastor of Cornerstone Church in San Antonio, Texas, a non-denominational evangelical church with more than 22,000 active members. He also founded Hagee Ministries, which broadcasts the Gospel on radio and television throughout America and the world, and is the founder and Chairman of Christians United for Israel (CUFI), which has grown to become the largest Christian pro-Israel organization in the United States--with over 9.5 million members which includes my wife and me as well. Pastor John Hagee was recognized by the Embassy of Israel in Washington D.C. as one of the 70 greatest American contributors to the U.S.-Israel relationship. Pastor John Hagee has authored 40 books, several of which were on the New York Times best-sellers list, including Four Blood Moons, which was also an award-winning blockbuster film in 2015.
In his new book Pastor Hagee dives into Israel's history. I will not say that this was an easy read for me because it wasn't. The book is very beefy coming in at over 400 pages with the average chapter having 28. BUT, what I will say is that this book may be very helpful for someone who has very little knowledge about Israel's history, how it fits into prophecy, and how it sheds light on God's special relationship with His chosen people. It will also serve as a wonderful reference book for those that have a good understanding in these areas and want to refresh their knowledge or learn more. John unpacks prophecy, thousands of years of history, as well as current events, to show how the predictions in the Bible are coming to pass. He uses current events such as President Trump's historic moving of the US Embassy to Jerusalem, the COVID 19 pandemic, America's growing negative relationships and struggles with China, Russia, and Iran to show that while the world is in crisis mode, God's Word about His son's return is true, closer than ever, and something that Christians should be looking forward to.
This book was a tough read for me but at the same time a good read. Having a handy reference book about Israel's history and Biblical prophecy will enhance my Bible study time and I highly recommend it as such.
